What will I be asked to do?

• There will be 5 visits to NIIM within 2 weeks.
• The first and the last visit will involve a CTC blood test to check your eligibilty.
  There will be a fee of $850 for the CTC test, which will be reimbursed, if you are eligible for the treatment.
• The treatment session will include:

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) with Light-bed Session:

• Step 1: Wed: oral administration of photosensitiser taken 16-20 hours before LED light therapy.
• Step 2: The treatment session will include 1x 90 min Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)discounted out-of-pocket cost) followed by 1x 30min lightbed on the same day.
• Step 3: Another CTC blood test will be scheduled a week later to check treatment effectiveness

Please note:

• Participation is voluntary.
• We are grateful to the granting body who has made the lightbed treatment available for free to the trial participants.
• There are no costs involved for the CTC test, if you are eligible for the trial. Eligibility is checked for your safety.
• All clinical trials have been approved by the NHMRC endorsed ethics committee. This includes any out-of-pocket-costs required for the trial to be conducted.
• Any potential out-of-pocket costs have been discounted for trial participants.
