The NIIM Clinic has applied for accreditation with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL). On 5 May, APGAL surveyors attended NIIM Clinic to undertake the first survey for accreditation. The commentary from AGPAL surveyors was extremely positive, with all criteria met. The surveyors advised we achieved a commendation for the high standard of patient quality and safety, clinical risk management and practice systems and processes.
We would like to acknowledge our NIIM accreditation team for their commitment and hard work in setting the Clinic up to such a high standard to meet the 5th Edition RACGP standards.
AGPAL accreditation provides many benefits, including financial assistance from the Commonwealth government, and enables NIIM to host GP registrars and medical students in the practice. AGPAL Accreditation demonstrates to the community our credentials as a quality GP Practice.
