The Kyolic Garlic & Aerobic Fitness Trial
Arterial stiffness is a cardiovascular risk factor, which increases naturally with age. Kyolic garlic has been shown to improve the flexibility of arteries, and slows down blood flow, which may improve oxygen uptake, associated with aerobic fitness.

Research Nurse
Joy Chu is a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing (RN) degree. After gaining valuable experience working in general wards since 2012, Joy transitioned to intensive care in 2015, where she specialised in critical care nursing, earning a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing in Intensive Care (CCRN) in 2017. In 2021, she expanded her expertise by joining the NIIM clinic as a Research Nurse, contributing to clinical studies while continuing to provide high-level care.
Originally from Taiwan, Joy left home in 2010 to pursue studies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, followed by five years of nursing practice on the Gold Coast. In 2021, Joy moved to Melbourne, drawn by her love of winter and a desire to experience a new environment. Joy is a valued member of the NIIM Research team, providing a high standard of care and expertise to our clinical trial treatments.
